Service Support Representative

Technicians service our system by performing on-site installation, startup, troubleshooting repair and maintenance of our hospital pneumatic tube system equipment. Technicians serve as a liaison between the customer and Pevco, delivering outstanding customer service.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, install, and start–up of pneumatic systems
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance task, such as checking, cleaning and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems
  • Trouble shoot electronics and mechanical equipment, order parts as necessary, explain issues and make recommendations to hospital engineers/mechanical staff.
  • Maintain, complete and submit all service paperwork and data files in a timely manner.
  • Conduct on-site training for hospital engineers and end users.
  • Respond to all incoming calls and/or messages from the Help Desk and/or service messages

Additional Functions:

  • Work on special projects which may include design critique, testing procedures, and system parameters.
  • Assist the manufacturing department with repairs of equipment and the assembly of small items.
  • Promote and conduct after-sales technical support, such as preventive maintenance agreements and training
  • Perform any other task as directed by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude as well as the ability to use appropriate tools.
  • Familiar with Windows operating system
  • Ability to troubleshoot, modify, repair, and correct mechanical, electrical or other equipment devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings or other software program drawings.
  • Flexibility to travel for periods of time; possibility of short notice travel which may include weekends and/or holidays.
  • Ability to walk long distance, climb ladders (step & extension), maneuver in small areas including low ceiling areas and the ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Minimum Requirements of Training & Experience

  • Electronic course work at a trade school or AA degree in Electronics, Computer Sciences or a related field of study.
  • Knowledge of mechanics as well as pneumatic tube systems.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in maintaining, repairing or installing comparable equipment.
